K.C. Pottorf wrote her first story at ten—a spooky tale about three children lured into an abandoned house by a floating candle. The Nocturns came nearly twenty years later, born out of one of life's most difficult chapters: a newly widowed mother, two tiny children, and bedtimes that felt impossible. She wrote them a story that whispered what she most needed them to know—they could face anything, as long as they believed in themselves.
Some books are written. This one was conjured out of love and a little bit of magic.
When K.C. is not writing for the young and brave, she writes for grown-ups under the name Kris Calvert.
